1. How did you get started in this business?

I did one year of schooling which has been followed by years of on the job training.

2. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing my work on the big screen.

3. What is a movie you could watch over and over again?

Some Time Next Year

4. What is the farthest distance you have traveled from home?

Singapore

5. Do you have any special skills or talents?

I act in community theater.

6. Are there any special causes close to your heart?

The Active 20-30 Club: Kid Spree and High School Project Grad Nights

7. If you weren’t a Cosmetologist, what would you be?

I would be an animal trainer for sea mammals.

8. As a child, what did you dream that you would grow up to be?

As a child, I wanted to be a Veterinarian.

9. If there was a movie made about your life, who would you like to see play the lead?

Cate Blanchett

10. What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life? Why?

Becoming a Journeyman in the Hair Union. Now I am a Department Head for TV & Movie Shows.

1. Where were you born?

Santa Rosa, CA

2. Do you have any kids?

Yes, I have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls.

3. What do you like to do with your spare time?

Shop!, Garden, and decorate my house.

4. What is your favorite product and why?

Mascara, I love lashes!

5. Can you tell me about your training?

I am a Lytle’s Alumni and then went on to The International Dermal Institute.

6. Why did you choose to become an Esthetician?

My mom was a Cosmetologist and I grew up around it.

7. Would you rather: Cook at home or go out to dinner?

I love going out to dinner.

8. Would you rather: have it all or know it all?

Have it all, I would get too bored if I knew it all.

9. You have just won the lottery, what now?

I would make the biggest positive impact on my children’s schools as possible. Give money to better the public schools in our area.

10. What would you do if you had a time machine?

I would go back to the late 1950’s and learn everything I could about the makeup and beauty tips of that era.

2. Do you have children?

No, but I do have 3 dogs.

3. How did you get started in this business?

My family saw and knew my creativity and pushed me to follow my dreams.

4. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Making people feel good and them liking their new look.

5. What is the farthest distance you have traveled from home?

The farthest distance I have traveled from home is England.

6. Would you rather: Cook at home or go out to dinner?

I would rather cook at home.

7. Would you rather: see a scary movie or see a movie with a happy ending?

I would rather see a movie with a happy ending.

8. Do you have any pets?

I have 3 dogs: Hunter, Bailey, and Ziggy.

9. If you weren’t a Cosmetologist, what would you be?

I would have been a Chef.

10. As a child what did you dream that you would grow up to be?

Either a Chef or a Teacher.

1. What can you say to future professionals?

Believe in yourself and the possibilities are endless.

2. Can you give us any words of wisdom that have been passed on to you?

Have the courage to try – and the world will be open to you… My father told me that.

3. What is your favorite book?

The Trilogy

4. What is your favorite color?

Other than my wardrobe of black? Purple!

5. Would you rather: cook at home or go out to dinner?

I love cooking with friends and family at home and gathering around a table heaping with great food, candles and a nice bottle of wine… but on the other hand have you ever eaten at Soule Domaine in Tahoe ?! Everything is bliss. Ernie Gibson’s is another great place to eat, and while I’m on the subject, Kathy Lytle is an AMAZING cook!

6. Would you rather: know it all or have it all?

Neither really. I hope to always be learning. Have it all? I can’t imagine the trouble that might bring – right?

7. What is the last book you read?

Younger Next Year

8. What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life? Why?

Raising my children, because they are amazing men, kind, honest and loving. My goal was to make them un-divorcable!

9. What are 3 things that have changed your life?

The people, the people, the people! OR People, travel & great books and movies.
