Green Beauty at Lytle's

We are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally-conscious manner. As part of that commitment, we are always looking at ways we can conserve the energy we use daily.

For example, we have installed energy control systems in our salon that help curtail energy use during the day. We also encourage each of our staff members to look at the way energy, water and other natural resources are used, and to make suggestions for how we might be more efficient.

• We use rewriteable posters and PowerPoint presentations in our classrooms to avoid excessive paper usage.
• We use recyclable mannequin heads so they don't end up in landfill.
• We print our materials on both sides of recycled paper.
• We donate used hair clippings to keep our water clean and take up less landfill space.
• We share with our students the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Mannequin Head Recycling Project

We make a difference in our world by keeping mannequin heads out of landfills. The Mannequin Head Recycling Project (MHR Project) was created last year, and Lytle's REBC has been on board since its inception. The heads are given a new life as novelty items and can be found for sale at www.cheapheads.com. Proceeds from the sales go toward scholarships and efforts to keep more heads out of the landfills.
