What made you choose beauty as a career?
I have always cut and colored my friends hair and it just seemed like something I would love and sure enough it is.

How did you decide to enroll at Lytle’s?
I decided to enroll at Lytle’s because after talking to at least a dozen stylists I found that Lytle’s had the most hands on education, real clientele, and most professional salon.

What is life like outside of school?
Busy, I make time for myself where I can. I plan my life down to the day/hour/minute and my google calendar saves the day every day.

What is your most memorable experience here at Lytle’s?
Rolling a perm using rods 1mm in diameter was for sure the most memorable, so fun!!

How has beauty changed your life?
I was a tomboy growing up so this has given me such a creative outlet and an opportunity to express myself in a whole new way.

Where do you see yourself after graduation?
I fell in love with skincare unexpectedly so hopefully at a spa. I’m zen just thinking about it.

Do you have any advice to anyone thinking about beauty as a career?
If you love pampering people, making them feel good about themselves, and doing something new and exciting every day; then do it!! This is the place for you.

1. What made you choose beauty as a career?

My mother is a Hair Stylist, so I have been surrounded by it my whole life. I know what to expect going into it and it initially was going to be my back up plan, but it became my passion.

2. How did you decide to enroll at Lytle’s?

I went to the orientation and the staff and students were so welcoming, I also liked the family-like atmosphere the school focuses on.

3. What is life like outside of school?

I recently moved into a new home with my boyfriend, so I’ve been putting my new home together. I try to relax outside of school.

4. What is your most memorable experience here at Lytle’s?

I definitely never thought I would make as many friends as I have here. everyday here brings something amazing.

5. How has beauty changed your life?

It has taught me how to better take care of myself. It has given me a greater respect for strangers and a desire to make people feel good. It has also made me more outgoing and more of a risk taker.

6. Where do you see yourself after graduation?

I’ve imagined myself at a small, cozy, yet trendy salon. I would like to provide a more personal experience for my clients. I would also love to one day, work in San Francisco.

7. Do you have nay advice to anyone thinking about beauty as a career?

You have to be a people pleaser. You have to be able to keep cool under stress and above all, you have to have a good heart. You’re not only a hairstylist, you’re also a therapist.

1. What made you choose beauty as a career?

I’ve always wanted to be a Cosmetologist, I am a very creative person. Two of my cousins are Hairstylist’s and after going to them to get my hair done over the years, I have wanted to do this ever since.

2. How did you decide to enroll at Lytle’s?

I came to Lytle’s for a walk through last year and fell in love with it! The students and teachers are amazing here and I knew it would be a good fit for me.

3. What is life like outside of school?

Outside of school, I like to spend time with my friends and family.

4. What is your most memorable experience here at Lytle’s?

My most memorable experience has been becoming such good friends with my class. Everyone is so supportive of each other and it makes i so fun to come to school everyday.

5. How has beauty changed your life?

Beauty has changed my life by showing me how you really can make somebody’s day so much better by just coloring, cutting, or blow styling their hair. I love that!

6. Where do you see yourself after graduation?

After I graduate, I see myself assisting at a salon, continuing my education on color, and working full time.

7. Do you have any advice to anyone thinking about beauty as a career?

My advice would be to shadow schools and salons to get a feel of what it’s like working in a salon.

1. What made you choose beauty as a career?

When I was little, my aunt would cut my hair in her kitchen. I also really enjoyed observing how things were done anytime I was in a salon.

2. How did you decide to enroll at Lytle’s?

I was looking in to different beauty schools and when I visited Lytle’s everyone was very welcoming.

3. What is life like outside of school?

Just as busy and just as fun.

4. What is your most memorable experience here at Lytle’s?

All of the “ah-ha!” moments when something you’ve learned clicks into greater understanding.

5. How has beauty changed your life?

I have grown to appreciate everything around me more.

6. Where do you see yourself after graduation?

I see myself working in a salon, continuing my education, and working my way towards being a platform artist.

7. Do you have any advice to anyone thinking about beauty as a career?

It takes dedication. As with anything in life, you have to want it to succeed.

In high school I did a community service project at a salon and I enjoyed the atmosphere as well as seeing how happy the clients were when they left.

I live right down the street and I had heard how great of a school it is.

I don’t really have a life…

My most memorable experience here at Lytle’s is Linda’s “Anatomy Rap”.

I’ve learned that you have to work hard for your goals to be accomplished but anything I set my mind to, I feel like I can do.

1. What made you choose beauty as a career?

I have always loved fashion. Staying up on current makeup and hair trends has also always interested me.

2. How did you decide to enroll at Lytle’s?

I have a handful of friends who have gone through the program and loved it. Lytle’s is the best school around!

3. What is life like outside of school?

My husband and I have 3 children; ages 12, 14, & 16. It’s a whirlwind of action when I get home. I come to school for peace.

4. What is your most memorable experience here at Lytle’s?

Making such wonderful friends. Beauty school is everything I thought it would be and more. My most memorable moment would have to be with Andre in Zone 1.

5. How has beauty changed your life?

It is a dream come true to fulfill my passion in Hair Design.

6. Where do you see yourself after graduation?

I see myself working as an assistant and taking it to the next level in Hair cutting and coloring, continuous education.

My biggest influence was my hairdresser, she went to Lytle’s as well.

There are so many amazing memories, but by far it is the 80’s day mixer.

5. Where do you see yourself after graduation?

I see myself working as an assistant for 6 months to a year, then I will rent a station.

6. Do you have any advice for anyone thinking about beauty as a career?

Be prepared fr hard work and dedication.

I can’t choose just one, every experience has been amazing!

It’s made me more creative and able to see the ebauty in everyone and everything.

I see myself working in a salon for a few years and then evtually doing hair on movie and television sets.

You really have to want this. It’s hard word and can get really stressful at times but in the end it’s so rewarding and sow orth it.

​1. What made you choose beauty as a career?

Having an artistic background, I have always known that I would pursue a hands on career with my creative ways and outgoing personality. Cosmetology seemed like it would be a perfect fit, and it is.

2. How did you decide to enroll at Lytle’s?

After visiting other schools, I decided on Lytle’s because the atmosphere and campus were impressive. The students and staff looked happy and enthusiastic. That was the biggest factor in ym decision.

3. What is life like outside of school?

My life outside of school consists of work and sleep. I don’t have much time for my friends or a social life.

4. What is your most memorable experience here at Lytle’s?

The zone 1 training room (my first 12 weeks) is my favorite memory. Austin and Fari thoroughly prepare you for giving clients a proper, professional service in The Salon.

5. How has beauty changed your life?

It’s amazing how a different look or the right look can change a persons attitude and confidence. I never knew that being a part of helping one’s confidence could make me so proud.

6. Where do you see yourself after graduation?

I honestly don’t see myself doing anything specific. I love doing hair so I’m along for the ride, we’ll see where it takes me.

7. Do you have any advice to anyone thinking about beauty as a career?

If your heart is in it, go for it! It’s hard work so make sure your fully committed.
