Cosmetology Courses

We are extremely proud to be a Pivot Point member school. Internationally known and respected, Pivot Point brings together some of the most creative and forward thinking minds in the industry. The training our Educational staff receives and the tools Pivot Point offers; such as their exclusive member schools only Designers’ Approach Library, L.A.B. (Learn About Beauty) and Snap Cap mannequins ensure that you receive educational excellence. The methods are easily understood and learned and are the foundation upon which you will build your techniques. These exclusive methods are based on the philosophies of The Bauhaus, the most celebrated art school of modern times. Through these same philosophies, our students learn to be more than Cosmetologists — they learn to become hair designers, offering you a career where you enjoy both creativity and freedom.

What You Will Learn

You’ll learn the fundamentals and theory of cutting, coloring, perming/relaxing, styling and finishing hair, skin care, makeup, nail care and nail techniques, as well as customer service, business basics and product knowledge in a zone setting.

Students complete seven 6-week mods. You’ll start in Mod 1 (also referred to as primary training) learning all the fundamentals to client services in the student salon. In Mods 2-4 you will spend time in theory, continue building the fundamentals from the prior zones, provide services to clients and complete your operations in the student salon.

You’ll experience guest educators, have the opportunity to attend field trips to destinations such as ‘Professionals only’ beauty supply houses and trade shows where platform artists dazzle with innovative trends and the showroom floor sparkles with exciting and exceptional deals.

Hands-On Experience

You’ll spend plenty of time in our busy Student Salon, where you’ll gain the hands-on experience that ensures confidence. Our students gain the knowledge and skill needed for success using a variety of product lines; such as Wella, Sebastian, EIMI, Malibu, Dermalogica, Image, Gelish, Morgan Taylor and other seasonal styling products. We’ll also train you to achieve superior customer service skills that will help you build and keep a busy clientele.
